Fawn River Mastiffs was established in 2003, when my husband Jeremy brought home our first Mastiff, obviously not our last. We both completely fell in the love with the English Mastiff breed and our obsession soon became our hobby. We live in rural southwest Michigan with our three sons, we have plenty of land for our four legged and two legged kids to run around and play. Our adult mastiffs and mastiff puppies are raised in the house with us as family members. We are so proud of our Mastiffs, our sires, dams, and retired old souls who remain in our house as pets now. Our goal in breeding is to better the health, temperament and formation of the breed. We always have a reason for our breeding, interested in why? Just ask. A stable temperament is extremely important in a breed of this size and we also genetically test our mastiffs for hereditary problems. We feel that an ethical/responsible breeder only breeds to improve the breed by using the help of genetic testing in their breeding programs as a tool of guidance.
We stand 100% behind our English Mastiff puppies. We believe in forming a standing and open relationship with our puppy buyers. First and for most we want our babies in wonderful forever homes. We love updates and pictures which I will post on my site so all can see. We are readily available for those with general questions and concerns regarding the breed itself, not just my lines. RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH!!! Meet as many Mastiffs as you can before you make this decision and please talk to other breeders. We also recommend finding a good vet in your area with expertise with large breeds so he/she can help you make an informed decision. We also welcome people to stop by and meet the our Mastiffs who love to welcome new people into the home with slobbery kisses.
